Could there be a GeForce GTX 1180?

VideoCardz spotted signs of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 in the GFXBench database. Is it just a hoax, or is NVIDIA really working on a GeForce 11 series? I supposed time will tell. If the card is real, it could perhaps be a Turing-based chip without the ray tracing cores.
There is no direct comparison available (the benchmark was run on Linux), but if we compare it to RTX 2080 on Windows, the results are almost identical.
Such a part would be cheaper to manufacture, but it would be an odd move for NVIDIA considering all the effort they put into marketing RTX. By offering a cheaper Turing without RTX, the company will definitely severely hurt RTX adoption.
