Speaking to The Street, AMD CTO Mark Papermaster hinted at several GPU announcements throughout 2019. The company took the wraps off the high-end, 7nm Radeon VII at CES 2019 and will round out the Radeon roadmap over the course of the year:
"What we do over the course of the year is what we do every year. We'll round out the whole roadmap," Papermaster said about AMD's 2019 plans for its 7nm GPU lineup. "We're really excited to start on the high-end....you'll see the announcements over the course of the year as we round out our Radeon roadmap."
At this point, there have been very little leaks about AMD's GPU roadmap so we don't know what to expect. The 7nm consumer Vega did not come totally out of the blue but there were no firm rumors about this card before AMD's CES 2019 keynote. The next big thing on AMD's roadmap is Navi, unless the company is planning to do yet another Polaris refresh.
