ATI debuts Radeon X800 GTO

ATI today unveiled its Radeon X800 GTO graphics card which will offer competition to NVIDIA's GeForce 6800. The Raedon X800 GTO has 12 pipelines and uses a 256-bit memory interface with memory clocked at 1GHz. The Radeon X800 GTO also uses ATI's SmartShader graphics technology.

Features:
  • 256-bit GDDR3 memory interface for lightning fast memory speeds;
  • SmartShader and SmoothVision graphics technologies for exceptional gaming realism;
  • 3Dc compression technology to bring out fine details with minimum memory usage;
  • Videoshader with programmable video performance;
  • HyperZ for lossless Z-Buffer compression that reduces memory bandwidth by up to 25%.

    Abit, Asus, Connect, Diamond, Gigabyte, Hightech, Info-Tek, MSI, Palit, Sapphire, Tul and Visiontek are all producing these cards and according to ATI the Radeon X800 GTO should be available immediately.
