The newest build of the Sonic Ether Unbelievable Shaders (SEUS) pack for Minecraft makes it possible to turn on ray tracing like effects in the game. As PC Gamer reports, this makes the game look brand new, but it also has a big impact on performance:
Naturally, getting visuals this good out of Minecraft requires a powerful set-up. Notglacier, the user that posted the videos on Twitter, said he was getting between 25 and 40 fps from a rig that includes an i9-9900k CPU and a GTX 1070 Ti.
At the moment, this specific build of SEUS is exclusively available to Patreon backers.
