Details popped up about an upcoming 50th Anniversary special edition processor from AMD. The name appeared on the website of ShopBLT along with a new SKU number "YD270XBGAFA50". Before the shop took down the listing, it showed a price of $340.95 for this chip.

At the moment, we know nothing about this processor other than that it comes with the same Wraith Prism RGB CPU cooler as the regular Ryzen 7 2700X. Perhaps this special edition has a collector's item packaging, with maybe laser engraving on the CPU's IHS or some other special goodies.

AMD celebrates its 50th birthday on May 1st.
