Specifications of a 16-core AMD Ryzen 3000 series processor engineering sample were discovered by Twitter user APISAK. This Zen 2-based chip has a base clock of 3.3GHz and a Boost of 4.2GHz. Presumably, these 16-core parts will become known as the Ryzen 9 3000 series.

Keep in mind that this is an engineering sample, the final clockspeeds may be higher. The official announcement from AMD is expected during CEO Lisa Su's Computex keynote on May 27.
