High-end gaming peripherals from HP? We didn't see this coming but the company just launched a line of Omen-branded gaming peripherals. As you may remember, the company acquired this brand as part of its Voodoo PC acquisition in 2006.

HP introduces the Omen Photon wireless gaming mouse, the Omen Outpost Mousepad, and an Omen-branded clothing lineup with hoodies and t-shirts. The Omen Photo mouse uses the PixArt PAW3335 optical sensor with 16k DPI and has proprietary wireless technology with a 0.2ms click response time. It has 11 programmable buttons, RGB LED light effects, and support for wireless charging:
The HP Omen Photon can be charged using a cable, or using the company’s Omen Outpost Qi-enabled gaming mouse mat. The latter charges the mouse in 2.5 hours and the Photon can work for 50 house on one charge, according to the manufacturer. Just like the mouse, the Outpost features programmable RGB lighting.
The moue will start shipping in July for $129.99 and the Outpost mousepad with wireless charging tech will be available at the same time for $99.99. More details at AnandTech.
