Benchmark results of the Ice Lake Core i7-1065G7 popped up in the PassMark database and they show the chip giant's 10nm architecture packs quite a punch. NotebookCheck compared the numbers and concludes the low-power 15W TDP Ice Lake chip outperforms AMD's Ryzen 5 3500U 15W TDP by over 28 percent. With a base clock of 1.3GHz, the Core i7-1065G7 scores 10316 points in PassMark, which makes it also faster than the 35W TDP Ryzen 7 3750H, which scores 9112 points.
More impressively though, the i7-1065G7 also outruns the Ryzen 7 3750H that has a higher TDP of 35 W. The latter chip scored 9,112 in PassMark’s benchmark, which is still some distance from the Ice Lake processor’s published result. The 4-core Intel CPU also demolished both of AMD’s Picasso APUs in the single thread rating, where it scored 2,625 against 1,818 (Ryzen 5 3500U) and 1,899 (Ryzen 7 3750H), respectively. The expected price of the Intel Ice Lake mobile processor is not yet known.
