Not a whole lot of information about this as DigiTimes now paywalls its news articles, but it appears Intel is going to cut the price of its desktop processors.

The site hear from sources at motherboard makers that Intel is going to cut the prices of it 8th Gen and 9th Gen desktop processors by 10 to 15 percent.

It seems the company is concerned about the entry of AMD's Zen 2-based Ryzen 3000 series and decided that a preemptive price cut was the best way to act.
