It comes as no surprise that Qualcomm has been eyeing to integrate 5G into its chips ever since the craze in the tech community has started around the technology itself. 5G connections are already active in some parts of the world, and users are reporting massive download and upload speeds with the brand-new tech. Some phones already have 5G so why is this news such a big deal anyway? Well, it has to do with the pivoting of the industry and the brand-new innovations that come with the integration of 5G into the latest chipsets for mobile phones.

So far, all mobile processor chips that have been created didn’t really have integrated 5G technology within them. Instead, they used a 5G modem which served as an addon so that they can actually use the tech itself. However, since the craze for 5G has been increasing further and further, the need for the technology’s integration into the chipsets themselves has skyrocketed. Qualcomm has always been ahead of the game and that’s why they’ve decided that their latest chipset will come equipped with this technology straight out of the box. This is amazing news for the world of tech.

The name of the new Snapdragon chip will be 865, which isn’t surprising given that the last gen chip’s name was 855, and the one before that had the number 845 attached to it. Though the names might seem linear, the power of the chips seems to be growing exponentially. That’s because the 855 chip reported almost 40% more processing power than the 845 chip, and the 865 chip aims to change up the entire mobile processor game altogether. With integrated 5G, the need for 5G modems will be completely eliminated and what we’re left with is a lot more room to work with other technologies as well.

Those new technologies include the latest UFS 3.0 storage that has already been seen on the OnePlus 7 pro. That phone has been described as the fastest phone on planet earth repeatedly by many experts in the industry. Not only does it rock a smooth display with a 90Hz refresh rate which has never been seen on an OLED panel, but they also seem to be rocking a completely revamped UFS storage system which increase the internal write and rewrite speeds within the storage of the phone itself. Well, the Snap dragon 865 will come equipped to support that tech to an even greater extent as well.

So, what can you use all of this new technology for? Well, it will definitely mean that you’ll enjoy much faster speeds when it comes to downloading and uploading content if you’re on a 5G network. It will also mean that your browsing experience will be a lot better since loading up pages is essentially downloading them temporarily to your phone. It also means that you can even enjoy online games including free adult games in much greater speeds than before.
