Modder recreates DOOM and DOOM II in Doom 3 engine

A modder going by the name "gamehacker" published an early access version of Doom Reborn, a project that aims to recreate the original DOOM and DOOM II video games in the idTech4 engine. What makes this mod interesting is that it retains various elements from the classic like the interface and the console, while incorporating new visuals, textures, and models.
As the modder noted, Doom Reborn pre-beta version 1.61 features an unfinished version of Map10 of Doom 2 that players can try to finish off. Moreover, the mod includes Dafama2k7’s Pre-Beta Version 1.6 mod and gamehacker has done some tweaks and changes to improve lighting and colours in various areas. It’s also worth noting that Parallax Occlusion Mapping is enabled by default.
