Intel warns users of its Processor Diagnostic Tool need to upgrade to the latest version because of a security bug that could result in escalation of privilege, information disclosure, or denial of service. Overall, the risk doesn't seem that great as an attacker already needs to have authenticated access in order to be able to carry out this attack.
Improper access control in the Intel(R) Processor Diagnostic Tool before version 4.1.2.24 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege, information disclosure or denial of service via local access.
More details and the latest version of the tool can be found at Intel.
