AMD technical marketing guy Robert Hallock has published a link to a beta version of a new AMD chipset driver on Reddit. This new driver is intended as a workaround fix to resolve issues Ryzen 3000 owners are experiencing with the Destiny 2 video game.

A more permanent fix is coming soon. In the opening message of the Reddit post, Hallock reveals a comprehensive update will be provided on Tuesday, July 30. The company will address the Destiny 2 issues, Ryzen 3000 desktop idle behavior (high power consumption), and WHEA warnings that appear in the Windows Event Log.

It's not clear whether AMD will provide a software/AGESA update on that date, or merely more information about why these issues occur and when or how they're solving these problems.
