Over at IFA 2019 in Berlin, Intel revealed that its Core i9-9900KS flagship will ship in October. Pricing was not mentioned but considering that the 9900K costs about $494.99 this new chip will likely cost over $500.

The main feat of this new eight-core, sixteen-threaded processor is its capability to run at 5.0GHz across all cores. In marketing materials, Intel promises the 9900KS will achieve 5.0GHz Turbo Boost on all cores. The chip giant demonstrated this at IFA with a Hitman 2 - New York demo and blasted AMD's Ryzen 3000. As we wrote earlier this week, there's some controversy right now about many Ryzen 3000 CPUs being unable to hit their advertised Boost speeds.

Intel says that in case of the Core i9-9900KS "5GHz means 5GHz".
