TechPowerUp noticed that Biostar rolled out BIOS updates that add support for AMD's upcoming 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X to even its low-end AMD A320 chipset based motherboards.
BIOSTAR's list of motherboards for the 3950X includes almost its entire socket AM4 motherboard lineup, spanning the A320, B350, X370, B450, X470, and X570 chipsets. A spokesperson for BIOSTAR confirmed to us that this wasn't a typo on the company website.
Whether it's smart to run the Ryzen 9 3950X on low-end motherboards remains to be seen though.
