VideoCardz received word that Intel plans to release its Cascade Lake-X HEDT platform on November 25. Initially, the site wrote that was a delay but afterwards VideoCardz posted an update saying that the NDA was always set to expire on November 25th.
Intel without a doubt is still waiting for AMD to release first Threadripper 3000 information. It is expected that AMD will make public announcement on November 5th. AMD already announced a new “Meet the Experts” webinar dedicated to “the Future of High-End Desktop” for November 6th, which furthers reassures our claim.
The biggest novelty of the Cascade Lake-X series is that Intel has basically slashed its pricing in half versus the previous generation. Whether that will be enough to make these parts competitive versus the offerings from AMD remains to be seen.
