AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X and 3970X ship on November 25 for $1,399 and $1,999

AMD officially introduces its Ryzen Threadripper 3960X and Ryzen Threadripper 3970X, two new HEDT processors with a lot of cores. The 3960X has 24 cores, 48 threads, a 3.8GHz base clock, up to 4.5GHz boost, 140MB cache, 88 PCIe 4.0 lanes (72 usable), and a 280W TDP. The Threadripper 3970X has the same number of PCIe 4.0 lanes and the same TDP but it packs 32 cores, 64 threads, a 3.7GHz base clock, up to 4.5GHz Boost, and 144MB cache. Both chips will be available in November 25 with pricing of $1,399 and $1,999, respectively.

The new Threadrippers need a motherboard with the TRX40 chipset, they use the new sTRX4 socket.
