Sharkoon debuts the Skiller SGK5, a new basic keyboard with fancy RGB LED lighting effects. This non-mechanical gaming keyboard has NKRO support, multimedia keys, and a large, removable wrist rest. The MSRP is 39.99EUR.
Sharkoon Technologies is an international supplier of PC components and peripherals, offering performance at a reasonable price. Sharkoon introduces the SKILLER SGK5, an RGB illuminated rubber dome keyboard for gamers. The keyboard has n-key rollover support, handy multimedia keys and a detachable wrist rest.
Customizable RGB Illumination
The SKILLER SGK5 has an RGB background illumination with six zones and a range of 16.8 million colors. Preconfigured lighting effects are ready to use, and these can be selected, via dedicated keys, even without the use of software. For more personalized effects, a software is available as a free download, which allows the illumination to be modified as desired.
Full Control with N-Key Rollover
Commonly, rubber dome keyboards only have 2-key rollover, whereby a maximum of two keystrokes will be simultaneously registered. However, thanks to the SKILLER SGK5’s n-key rollover, a number of keys can be pressed at the same time, and this will be reliably communicated to the keyboard’s system. In combination with anti-ghosting technology, gamers will never lose control of the game, even when things get hectic.
Wrist Rest for More Comfort
The detachable wrist rest of the SKILLER SGK5 can be magnetically fixed onto the keyboard with ease and provides optimal typing comfort. If the wrist rest is not needed, it can be just as easily removed.
Fast Reacting Rubber Dome Switches
For inputs with an especially quick response, the SKILLER SGK5 is equipped with mid-height, quick-triggering keys with a keycap height of only seven millimeters. The life cycle of the rubber domes amounts to at least ten million keystrokes, and the keyboard can thus be expected to have a long lifespan. If desired, it is also possible to adjust the key response time.
Practical Special Keys for Gaming and Multimedia
In addition, Sharkoon has equipped the keyboard with dedicated keys for lighting effects, macros and game profiles. The keys enable uncomplicated use in everyday situations and while gaming. With two integrated rotary knobs on the top right corner of the keyboard, the volume and illumination brightness can be intuitively adjusted.

With the free, downloadable gaming software from Sharkoon, not only the illumination but also numerous keyboard functions can be controlled. Macros and multimedia commands can be easily programmed, reassigned and saved in a number of profiles. Adjustments are saved in the onboard memory of the SKILLER SGK5.
