AMD
With both Intel and NVIDIA offering support for integer scaling earlier this year, AMD couldn't leave Radeon-based gamers behind. New Linux driver patches from the red team indicate a future Radeon Software driver will implement integer scaling support. This feature is requested by users, it's useful for pixel art games or to upscale retro games. By using integer scaling, you get a much better image quality than via traditional interpolation upscaling techniques.
If you check out the most recent AMD Adrenalin feedback page, you can see that GPU-based integer scaling is the most-requested feature, with nearly half of all the votes cast. AMD is obviously listening because if you check back through October’s Linux driver patches (via @0x22h) there are multiple instances of patches going into the drivers referencing integer scaling.
