Are AMD's second-generation Navi GPUs just a couple of months removed from us? Over at the Asian ChipHell forum, a rumor is making the rounds that AMD plans to show off RDNA 2 based video cards at CES 2020 in January 2020.

The rumor was posted by Wjm47196, a user who previously accurately reported about the Polaris 30 (Radeon RX 590) and Radeon VII GPUs. Now he says AMD will preview its second-generation Navi chips at CES 2020.

These new GPUs use the RDNA 2 architecture and will be made on a 7nm+ process. There are no further details. It will be interesting to see if the second-generation Navi lineup includes parts capable of beating NVIDIA's high-end parts. While AMD has interesting performance parts, the company hasn't been able to match NVIDIA's enthusiast parts for quite some time now.
