As expected, Valve showed off its upcoming Half-Life: Alyx game. The new Half-Life game is a prequel set before the events of Half-Life 2, it's expected to hit the market in March 2020 for $59.99.
Alyx is a full-length VR game with support for various headsets like the Valve Index, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality. Valve Index owners will receive the game for free and will also get some extra content.
Valve says Alyx will have a playtime similar to Half-Life 2 and the company recommends you play Half-Life 2 first to better understand the game's story. The game will focus on Alyx Vance and her father Eli's resistance against the Combine, an alien spaces that conquered the Earth.
VR will be used for various new gameplay mechanisms and the game will allow you to manipulate gravity via Gravity Gloves that were featured in the previous Half-Life games.
It's not Half-Life 3 but it's a new adventure if you're a fan of VR.
