30 percent higher DRAM prices expected in 2020

Industry sources told DigiTimes that memory prices are expected to soar in 2020. Driven by strong demand from the server market as well as mobile applications, average selling prices may rise as much as 30 percent next year.

Computer memory is a commodity market with dramatic boom and bust cycles. At the moment, DDR4 memory prices are very low. They've been declining steadily since the last peak, which was seen a year or two ago.
