ASUS will soon launch the TUF Gaming VG279QM, a new 27" IPS-based LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The panel offers a 280Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible support, 400 nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 178-degrees viewing angles, and support for ELMB Sync (Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync).
Spec wise the the 27? IPS panel offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 1ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit colour depth and standard 99% sRGB colour gamut. The 280Hz refresh rate we believe will be achieved through an overclocking option, extending the capability of the current native 240Hz IPS panels by a bit.
Display outputs include DisplayPort 1.2 and 2x HDMI 2.0. The screen's stand has tilt, height, swivel, and rotate adjustments, and also has integrated Aura Sync RGB LED lighting. Pricing and availability is unknown.
