Taiwanese foundry TSMC is seeing massive demand for its cutting-edge process nodes. DigiTimes writes market watchers expect TSMC will post revenue growth of at least 15 percent in 2020. The company's 7nm capacity is fully booked and 5nm volume production will start in the first half of this year, with Apple being one of the major clients for the first 5nm production.
TSMC to post at least 15% revenue growth in 2020: TSMC is forecast to enjoy revenue growth of at least 15% in 2020, driven by robust 7nm chip sales and sales generated from its newer 5nm process node, according to industry sources.
DigiTimes also heard that Intel contracted TSMC to produce automotive AI chips. Revenue from these chip orders will start hitting TSMC's war chest in the second half of 2020.
