With last month's cancellation of the E3 show in June, many feared that this would be the death of the E3 show. However, word is now going around that ESA is planning a "reimagined" E3 for June 15-17, 2021. ESA is in talks with partners but there's no further word about what the organization has in mind.

Gamesindustry.biz reports there's still no word about whether there will be a digital-only version of this year's E3.
E3 2020 was cancelled as of last month due to COVID-19, with the ESA saying at the time it was "exploring options with our members to coordinate an online experience to showcase industry announcements and news in June 2020."

However, there is currently no update as to whether or not the ESA is still planning a digital event in 2020.
