Chinese memory maker Yangtze Memory Technologies Co (YMTC) is primarily serving the Chinese market but reports indicate that may change soon. TechPowerUp picked up news that YMTC is now supplying NAND flash memory chips to Lexar, which will presumably use these chips for memory cards and USB flash drives.

Micron Technology sold Lexar in 2017 to Longsys, a Chinese conglomerate. With Lexar buying YMTC chips, it seems we may soon see YMTC-based products in the West.
YMTC's first products sold to Lexar will be a 512 Gbit 128-layer 3D QLC NAND flash memory chip for Lexar's nCard line of microSDXC cards, which ships in 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB densities, offering transfer speeds of up to 90 MB/s reads, with up to 70 MB/s writes.
China is stimulating a homegrown chip industry to reduce reliance on foreign technology.
