WD hikes enterprise HDD prices

DigiTimes received word that Western Digital is increasing the pricing of its enterprise HDDs by over 10 percent. The COVID-19 pandemic is to blame here. The latter reportedly resulted in higher production and logistics costs for WD.
Western Digital reportedly is raising its prices for enterprise-use HDDs to reflect increased costs from production and logistics with mainstream products expected to see more than 10% increases, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.
It's unknown whether other HDD makers will follow.
