Epic Games Store to offer A Total War Saga: Troy for free on August 13, 2020

Epic Games Store has scored a big exclusive. After already giving away a bunch of old games like GTA V, Civilization V, and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, the store will soon give away copies of a brand new game!

The game publisher closed a deal with Sega to make the upcoming A Total War Saga: Troy video game an Epic Games Store exclusive for a full year. This means the game will not be offered via other platforms, like Steam, until one year after the game's release. Sega says the game will be released on Steam in 2021, there are no plans to support other platforms.

While this would piss off a lot of people, the good news is that the game will be completely free for the first 24 hours! If you order A Total War Saga: Troy via the Epic Games Store on the game's launch date, it will be yours to keep forever. You will be able to claim your free copy over here on August 13, 2020.
