Twitter leak finder APISAK discovered a new entry of an Intel Rocket Lake-S processor in the 3DMark benchmark database. This entry reveals an eight-core, sixteen-threaded model with a 4.3GHz Boost frequency. It's possible that this is the top model of the Rocket Lake-S lineup as this series will not feature a model with ten cores.

Rocket Lake-S is yet another 14nm part but what makes it exciting is that, according to the rumor mill, this chip will use the same Willow Cove processor cores as Tiger Lake. In other words, Rocket Lake-S is largely a 14nm backport of the 10nm Tiger Lake mobile processors. Besides the new cores these chips are also the first desktop processors to feature Xe-based integrated graphics.

The launch is expected later this year. Rocket Lake-S will use LGA1200 and should be compatible with current motherboards.
