Industry sources claim the next step for Chinese memory maker Yangtze Memory Technologies (YMTC) will be the launch of own-brand SSDs. The company has been churning out NAND flash memory for the Chinese market for some time now.

DigiTimes writes expectations are that YMTC will reveal own-brand SSDs in Q3 2020. These disks will use the company's in-house 64-layer 3D NAND flash memory. It's unknown if these will hit the retail market or be offered exclusively to OEMs and other big clients.
YMTC may unveil own-brand SSDs in 3Q20: China-based Yangtze Memory Technologies (YMTC) reportedly will in third-quarter 2020 launch its own-brand SSDs adopting in-house-developed 64-layer 3D NAND flash, with target outlets including PC OEMs, according to industry sources.
