German tech site Igor's Lab posted some fresh rumors about NVIDIA's upcoming Ampere-based GeForce RTX 30 series. Based on his sources and some speculation, Igor Wallossek, who was previously behind Tom's Hardware Germany, claims that mass production of the new cards is on track for August. This means a September launch is likely. Igor also learned that the cooler design that leaked last week is not the final design.

Apparently, there are still two cooler designs in the running and NVIDIA hasn't decided yet which one it will pick.
The cooler design that was leaked this week is not actually the final design, which let’s be honest was to be expected. What Igor learned is that this design is just one of the two currently being evaluated by NVIDIA. The decision which design will end up in the actual product will be made in July, during the Design Validation Test.
Igor also notes that the 350W figure that's floating around is the total board power. The Ampere GPU reportedly draws about 230W and the 24GB GDDR6X memory another 60W. The rest goes to the power circuitry, fans, etc.
