In a new video, Boston Dynamics shows off the capabilities of its Spot robot. Owned by Google until 2017, Boston Dynamics is now a piece of the SoftBank Group. The Spot robot is pitched as a versatile tool. The company says the robot can be used for tasks like entertainment, automated data collection, carrying payloads on unstructured terrain, and to industrial inspection in inaccessible, dangerous environments. Pricing starts at $74,500 for the most basic version.
