VideoCardz came across a leaked score of what could be the 3DMark Time Spy performance of NVIDIA's upcoming, highest-end Ampere-based video card. Not a lot of details here as 3DMark failed to recognize the card properly, it shows a 1935MHz Boost frequency and a 6000MHz memory clock, which can't be right and may be due to the card using a new type of memory like GDDR6X. Anyway, take it with a grain of salt, but based on these scores NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (or RTX 3090 according to some leaks) may be about 30 percent faster than a stock GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
The graphics card spotted by the leaker has a 1935 MHz boost clock and 6000 MHz memory clock. We are unsure why 3DMark software lists the memory as 6 GHz. For GeForce RTX 2080 Ti the software reads 1750 MHz (multiplied by 8 gives 14 Gbps speed). This 6 GHz entry might confirm that the memory type is not yet properly detected by the software, so it might be the upcoming GDDR6X variant after all. However, no matter if we multiply the value by 2 (12 Gbps) or 4 (24 Gbps), it just does not make sense. Thus, it could be an error.
