VLSI engineer Fritzchens Fritz created a high-resolution photo of the AMD 7nm Renoir APU. This photo was then annotated by Twitter user GPUsAreMagic. TechPowerUp offers some commentary and speculates the desktop version of Renoir may feature a x16 PCIe slot for a discrete video card, which is double the number of lanes seen on the desktop versions of previous-generation APUs.
This would mean that "Renoir" can finally spare 16 lanes toward PEG (PCI-Express graphics, or the main x16 slot on your motherboard), besides 4 lanes toward the chipset-bus, and the final four lanes allocated to the M.2 NVMe slot that's wired to the AM4 socket, on a typical desktop platform.
