Intel send out invites to the press for a virtual event on September 2nd. No details were shared but Intel said it will be "pushing the boundaries of how we work and keep connected". Presumably, this will be the launch event of the new Tiger Lake laptop processors.

This means we'll likely also get an update about Xe as Tiger Lake will feature Xe-based integrated graphics. Tiger Lake will be the first high-volume 10nm part from Intel, it packs Willow Cove cores and it will be very interesting to see how it performs.
Reading between the lines, and taking into account Intel's previously stated roadmap, there's no doubt in our minds that this is anything but Tiger Lake. As we have discussed on these pages in detail over the past year or so, Tiger Lake is Intel's 11th generation Core processor architecture, and will be based on a refined version of the company's 10nm process node.
