On January 31, 2020, American President Donald Trump declared a “public health emergency” related to the novel coronavirus. Six months later, commercial, residential, industrial, and governmental entities are still digging themselves out holes created by COVID-19. Every public business you walk into has an employee standing at the front entrance encouraging customers to put on their masks and stay six feet part. This alone is driving some American consumers up the wall.

The negative impact of the coronavirus is obvious, but how are technology companies like Apple, Google, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, and Amazon, handling the pandemic? Find out in the article below.

COVID-19 Statistics
One would suspect that COVID-19 would be over by now but it is not. In fact, it seems that the Coronavirus Pandemic is getting worse by the day. Modoc County in California has experienced its first positive case. Meanwhile, Japan has broken daily records for Coronavirus cases. In North Carolina, the number of hospital cases has climbed. The pandemic is far from over and people may have jumped the gun. As a result, things are starting to shut down again and it is negatively impacting all industries including the tech industry.

Apple Announces Release Delay For Its iPhone 12
According to reports, Apple iPhone sales have soared over the past few years. In 2018, the company reported overall sales of 46.89 million. While cellphone sales have reduced over the last year, Apple does not appear to be slowing down the production of its iPhone. However, the company announced previously it was working on a new iPhone 12, which was scheduled to be released earlier this year.

Unfortunately, the company was unable to hold up to its promise. Rumors have it that the company has delayed the release of its iPhone 12. The company has not gone public about the delay. But, it looks like the delay rumors are true since the iPhone 12 has not hit the shelves yet.

AMC Delays Reopening
While AMC Theater is not a technology company, state-of-the-art technology is a big part of its operational processes. Without this technology, AMC would not be able to provide its customers RealD 3D movie action. This technology has changed the way people watch movies. Before this technology was released, viewers would sit quietly starring at the screen. This is no longer the case, they become part of the movie.

Video Game Delays
With more people self-quarantining and staying at home, a lot of people are looking for ways to stay busy. Some are playing video games. These games allow them to escape reality and forget about the things going around them. The only problem is that COVID-19 has caused video game shortages. For instance, it is nearly impossible to obtain a Nintendo Switch right now. Before the Coronavirus pandemic, it was hard to buy a Switch. Now, it is even worse.

Some have decided to settle for the cheaper Switch Lite even though it cannot be connected to a television. Furthermore, Microsoft has experienced a massive increase in demand for its cloud services. As a result, it has been forced to change its online services to accommodate the influx. New games have been delayed too. The Last of Us Part II was pushed back alongside Iron Man VR. That being said, a good alternative would be to take advantage of kasyno online games. There is no downloading or requirement of a physical disc, so you don’t have to worry about delays.

Prime Day Delays
Amazon’s Prime Day has become one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Furthermore, the company has seemed to be invincible before COVID-19 struck. Now, it looks to be in shambles. The company is depending more on 3rd party sellers and it is hurting. It has been forced to delay Prime Day several times due to COVID-19. Furthermore, a lot of customers swore they would never use Amazon again after Founder Jeff Bezos went off on a tirade regarding political and race matters.

Some became disgruntled when they found anti-cop attire on the company’s website. Nevertheless, the biggest burden is likely the delay of Prime Day since it could reignite the company’s business.
