WCCF Tech writes motherboards based on the AMD A520 chipset will be released on August 18th. This new entry-level chipset from AMD lacks PCI Express 4.0 and will not support overclocking.
The A520 lineup will not feature PCIe Gen 4 connectivity features that the X570 and B550 boards provide nor the higher I/O but you can expect full support for AM4 CPUs including 3rd Gen Ryzen and from what we've heard, the A520 boards will also be featuring support for the next-generation Ryzen CPUs & APUs.
These motherboards will be the most affordable option for 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs, with motherboards like the ASUS PRIME A520M-K currently listed online for $75.99.
