DOOM Eternal hits 1k FPS on LN2 cooled PC (video)

As part of QuakeCon at Home, Bethesda presents a demonstration of DOOM Eternal running at an up to 1,000 frames per second. This feat was achieved by Polish overclocking team x-kom, featuring y Piotr "Lipton" Szymanski and Marcin "Ryba" Rywak. LN2 cooling was used to overclock the Core i7 9700K to 6.6GHz and the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti to 2.4GHz:

This video was created to demonstrate that the id Tech 7 game engine is capable of hitting 1,000 fps. This theoretical ceiling was talked about by id Software earlier this year, but now it's no longer theoretical!
