AMD Zone has been testing Call of Duty 2 extensively over the past few days, and they continue to gain more insight into performance. Their first revelation was that a 512MB video card increased performance dramatically. Wednesday they did additional testing into this performance difference, and they were able to determine that Call of Duty sets texture settings based on the video card resolution and amount of memory available. They have detailed what it does for several cards, and have screenshots comparing quality for the X800XL 512MB card, and 7800GTX. Results are certainly interesting. Check it out over here.
