GeForce RTX 3080 runs DOOM Eternal much faster than RTX 2080 Ti (video)

NVIDIA shared the first gameplay footage of DOOM Eternal running on the new GeForce RTX 3080 video card. In the clip below, you can see that the Ampere-based GPU runs the game at a 4K resolution with max settings at framerates higher than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti! That's a very impressive feat considering the RTX 3080 costs $699 - way less than the $1,199 charged for the RTX 2080 Ti.

In the clip below you can see that the RTX 3080 system typically renders the game at over 120fps. There are some side-by-side comparisons with the RTX 2080 Ti and it looks like Ampere absolutely smashes it.
