CD Projekt RED is working on a new version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the next-gen consoles. Called The Witcher 3: Complete Edition, this release for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will be visually and technically enhanced.

Among other things, the game developer will add ray tracing support and the game will also take advantage of the new storage systems of the next-gen consoles to cut load times.

Interestingly, there's good news for current owners as well as there will be a free update for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game. It's unknown when this update will become available.

So how would a visually enhanced version of The Witcher 3 look like? CD Projekt RED hasn't release a trailer yet but on YouTube you can find various videos of fan-made mods. These give you an idea of what's possible.
