VideoCardz reports Intel has added support for its upcoming Rocket Lake processors and the DG1 discrete video card to its Compute Runtime (version 20.37.17906). Rocket Lake is expected later this year, this processor series should be compatible with Z490 motherboards. Chips based on Rocket Lake will have PCI Express 4.0 support Xe based integrated graphics, increased DDR4 speed, and various other new features. The release also adds support for the low-power DG1 discrete video cards, which will be released for the laptop market.
The Compute Runtime also received more IDs for DG1 devices. This low-power discrete graphics solution will launch in a few variants (presumably 3GB and 6GB models). The DG1 series is designed for notebooks, expected to debut with just-announced Tiger Lake-U designs very soon.
