Rumors are going around about the launch date of AMD's first Zen 3-based desktop processors. As you may know, the company will reveal these "Vermeer" chips at an online event that's scheduled for October 8th. It's believed that AMD will skip the Ryzen 4000 series and name these processors Ryzen 5000 so it aligns with the "Cezanne" APUs that will launch early next year.

News picked up by VideoCardz suggests the actual product availability date is either October 20th or October 27th. Yuri Bubliy, the creator of ClockTuner for Ryzen, heard the Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 7 5800X will ship on October 20th. He also claims that AMD's RDNA2-based video cards will be available around November 15-20.

German tech site ComputerBase says the launch date of the first Zen 3-based desktop processors is either October 20th or October 27th.
