The "scandal" of the day is that an MSI subsidiary has been caught selling GeForce RTX 3080 cards at a much higher price on eBay. VideoCardz writes a company known as Starlit Partner has sold four MSI GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING X graphics cards at a price of $1,359 via the auction site - which is $600 more than the retail price of this model.

MSI confirmed Starlit Partner is an individual sales subsidiary working under MSI USA. The company explains Starlit Partner typically sells excess inventory and refurbished products. According to MSI, an error allowed Starlit Partner access to inventory they were not permitted to handle. MSI has instructed Starlit Partner to contact the buyers of these cards to offer them the option of a full refund (after returning the product) or a partial refund (the amount paid over MSI's MSRP).
