DigiTimes writes the sales and net income of Taiwanese video card and motherboard makers is on track to hit an impressive level for the year 2020. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic at the start of the year, orders for many computer parts have been driven by the stay-at-home economy. Some of the brands here, including ASUSI, MSI, Gigabyte, and ASRock, are also seeing strong demand for their notebook and/or server products:
Because of the stay-at-home economy driven by the coronavirus pandemic, shipments of motherboard and graphics cards have been robust since early 2020, while surging demand for notebooks and servers is also benefiting brand vendors such as Asustek Computer, Micro-Star International (MSI), Gigabyte Technology and ASRock.

As stay-at-home activities will continue in the fourth quarter of 2020, and Intel, AMD and Nvidia have all unveiled their latest CPUs and GPUs, demand for PCs, motherboards and graphics cards is likely to stay brisk.
The site provides an overview of the sales of the big Taiwanese brands. Asustek for example saw its Q3 2020 sales soar 38 percent year-over-year and sales for the full year are expected to come in at a 20 percent rise year-over-year. Gigabyte saw a 32.9 percent jump in revenue in the first three quarters of this year and MSI saw a 20 percent year-over-year jump during this period. Similarly, ASRock also expects double-digit growths on year.
