The new 500-series chipsets from Intel are expected to be revealed at CES 2021, with the Rocket Lake-S processors following at a later date. Exact launch dates are still unknown but it's believed Rocket Lake-S will arrive in March at the earliest. VideoCardz now found a roadmap that shows mass production of Intel's 14nm Rocket Lake-S will begin in January and that the firm is trying to get parts on retail shelves sooner than March/April..
The roadmap confirms that RTS (Ready To Ship) date is expected to be around the 12th to [15]th week of 2021, however, it appears that Intel wants to ship first retail units sooner if possible, as the arrow appears to indicate.
Rocket Lake-S should be the last 14nm desktop architecture from Intel. It features new processor cores backported from 10nm, Xe-based integrated graphics, and PCI Express 4.0 support.
