Intel's Rocket Lake-S is expected within about a quarter but its successor has already been spotted. WCCF Tech writes about a sighting of a future Alder Lake-S processor in the Geekbench database.

Found by Twitter user TUM_APISAK, this Alder Lake-S has sixteen cores and 24 thread. As you may know, Alder Lake-S will be a big shift for Intel a this 10nm part will combine high-performance cores with energy-efficient cores. Sort of what ARM is doing with its big.LITTLE architecture. This results in eight Golden Cove cores with 16 threads and another eight Gracemont cores with eight threads on the Alder Lake-S.

The model listed in the Geekbench database seems to be a very early engineering sample, it has a base clock of only 1.4GHz. Alder Lake-S is expected to hit the market in late 2021.
