At yesterday's Exynos 2100 launch event, Samsung announced that its next Exynos flagship chip will have integrated graphics based on the AMD RDNA GPU architecture. This deal was signed in 2019 and now there's official confirmation of what was speculated at the time. The first Samsung phones with RDNA-based graphics could hit the market by 2022, possibly the Galaxy S22 series.
The Korean company has just announced the Exynos 2100 processor, set to power the Galaxy S21 series of phones in some markets. But the new processor is still using Arm’s Mali graphics instead of AMD power. However, Samsung LSI president and general manager Dr Inyup Kang has revealed during the launch event that its “next flagship product” would have a “next-generation mobile GPU” by AMD.
