DigiTimes reports competition in the NAND flash memory market is heating up again is Samsung is rumored to boost its output and cut prices. The South Korean electronics giant reportedly wants to maintain its market leadership position:
Meanwhile, Samsung is mulling increasing NAND flash output in a bid to maintain its market leadership, and in support of such a bid the Korean vendor is likely to cut prices for NAND.
The price cut is expected by the end of this quarter, according to industry sources. DigiTimes reports a first move by Samsung may trigger other major NAND flash makers to follow.
