Earlier this month NVIDIA published its GeForce 461.09 WHQL driver. This was a bug fix release that resolved some security issues as well as general bugs. Unfortunately, it seems the driver also introduced a string of new bugs.

eTeknix noticed there are a growing number of users that are complaining about random crashes and performance drops after the installation of the 461.09 driver.

There is no official confirmation from NVIDIA yet, but a report at the Asian ChipHell forum claims the 461.09 driver can cause crashes in Adobe Premier Pro, screen flashing or flickering, and random performance drops in video games. It's unknown how widespread these issues are.
